Martha Grier
Certified Health Coach
Martha’s entry into the wellness industry came as a result of a health challenge she faced for almost a year. Setting aside the advice of her doctor, and following a holistic regimen which addressed her healing on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level, she was cured within four months. Her healing journey inspired her to study holistic medicine so that she could share what she learned with others. The benefits of changing her diet and exercise regimen contributed greatly to her own healing journey, hence Martha often works with clients to establish a baseline of physical vitality as the gateway to achieving their life goals.
With over 10 years experience in the coaching industry, her organizational expertise includes cutting-edge development of behavioral change curricula in the areas of weight loss, women’s life transitions, leadership skill development, stress management, and holistic nutrition. In addition to individuals, her clients include community based organizations and Fortune 500 companies.
Having worked as an analyst in the investment banking industry for over 18 years for such firms as Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, Wellington Management, and Fidelity Investments, Martha has intimate knowledge of the challenges faced by people as they attempt to balance the responsibilities of career and home, and find it difficult to maintain the physical and emotional energy to do so.
Martha was a 2005 Fellow of The Partnership, Inc., and is founder of Siura Wellness Group and RawthenticSoul, collaboratives which provide educational and support services to individuals and groups interested in exploring alternative health practices, as well as living food, vegan, and vegetarian lifestyles.
She is currently in the process of launching a new venture, Global Workplace Coaching Solutions, LLC, to provide a model of leadership development which integrates holistic practices and principles for sustainable professional growth.
In addition to her B.S. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Martha holds a degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from the New England Institute for Ayurvedic Medicine, and is a Certified Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She received her yoga teacher certification from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres, and is currently working on her International Coach Federation credentialing.
When not working, Martha loves spending time in community with family and friends, being in nature, traveling, writing, and any activity related to eating and cooking!
